SIBU: Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) has confirmed that it will contest the upcoming 17th Sabah State Election (PRN17).
Without disclosing the number of seats it intends to contest, PBM President Datuk Larry Sng Wei Shien said the party’s election machinery, which was established two years ago in preparation for the election, is now ready to be mobilised.
He said PBM would also give its Sabah leadership autonomy to determine the candidates and the number of seats to be contested in the state election.
“PBM Vice-President Jupri Lenson will be responsible for Sabah. He will also be assisted by Richard Dompok, the PBM Sabah Information Chief, who is responsible for the election committee. Therefore, the two of them will decide on the number of seats,” he said at a press conference held here today in conjunction with the launch of PBM’s new logo.
The Sabah Government’s current term is due to end by October 2025.
